Medical Review Policy

Our strict Medical Review Policy ensures that every piece of health information you read on MeriSehat is safe, clinically accurate, and backed by a qualified doctor.

What content gets medically reviewed?

We do not allow unchecked information on our platform. All clinical content—including our condition guides, frequently asked questions (FAQs), symptom red-flag warnings, and triage logic—undergoes rigorous review by qualified medical professionals before it is published.

Who performs the review?

All medical reviews are performed by registered medical practitioners. These are the same verified doctors who conduct online consultations on our platform. We ensure every reviewer has a valid registration with the Medical Council of India (MCI) or their respective State Medical Council.

What the reviewer checks

During the review process, our clinical team evaluates the content against several strict criteria:

  • Medical accuracy: Ensuring the information aligns with current clinical guidelines (like the NHS or India's Telemedicine Practice Guidelines).
  • Patient safety: Confirming that self-care advice is genuinely safe to perform at home.
  • Emergency red flags: Clearly identifying symptoms that require immediate in-person emergency care.
  • Telemedicine suitability: Ensuring we are honest about which conditions can be safely treated online versus those requiring physical examination.
Updates and maintenance

Medicine is constantly evolving. Our clinical content is reviewed at least annually. Furthermore, if official medical guidelines change or new clinical safety warnings are issued, our medical team immediately reviews and updates the relevant content to reflect the new standards.

AI assistance vs. Doctor approval

While MeriSehat uses AI-driven systems to structure symptom data and collect case histories quickly, AI never makes medical decisions. AI assists with the administrative collection, but a verified human doctor always provides the final clinical review and approval for any advice or prescription.
